Brad's Auto Review: The 2015 Toyota Sienna

When it comes to great vehicles for those with disabilities many of us would agree that minivans are a great choice. Recently Toyota introduced an updated version of the very popular Toyota Sienna. Minor updates were made to the already great looking exterior with the addition of LED day time running lights and a few other small changes. The exterior of the 2015 Toyota Sienna though not majorly updated since 2011 is still viewed by many as one of the best looking mini van's available today. I am happy that it has pretty much retained that same great looks it was already known for. The one place that many people agreed needed major updating was in the interior. Thankfully Toyota listened to consumer and auto journalist's by addressing the complaints about use of cheap plastics in the dash design when updating the 2015 model. The updated dash board now found in the 2015 Sienna  is truly leaps and bounds ahead of the previous design. Providing drivers with a much more upscale feel thanks to the use of high quality materials.

Some Key features found in the 2015 Toyota Sienna

It comes standard with a 6-Speed Automatic Transmission and is the only minivan to offer All-Wheel Drive. As with many vehicles these days their is a long list of available features some that stand out including Toyota's key less Smart Key System. This allows you to unlock or lock the Sienna without having to reach for the key. Not only a time saver but safety feature which allows you to enter the vehicle quickly on those not so nice days. Another nice available feature is Push Button Start which is a convenient feature many automotive manufactures are now offering consumers.

When I was behind the wheel of the Toyota Sienna I was very impressed as steering was very smooth, which ends up reducing the amount of effort needed to maneuver the fairly large sized Sienna. Along with plenty of room inside everything in the updated interior is very well laid out. One of the most convenient features are the steering wheel mounted controls that allow the driver to complete simple tasks with ease. One of the best features available in the 2015 Sienna that anyone especially those living with a disability will find very useful is the wide angle back-up camera, which gives you a great view when reversing into or out of any spot. Some models even offer four rear Ultrasonic Sensors with Clearance sensors in the front. Other great features include Advanced Braking Control and a Blind Spot Monitoring System. Another great standard feature found on the Sienna is Toyota's Star Safety System which features six advanced accident avoidance safety features. This includes ABS, Brake Assist, Electronic Brake Force Distribution, Vehicle Stability Control and Smart Stop Technology. As you can see Toyota takes occupant safety very seriously, a real benefit for drivers and passengers.

The one thing that really impressed me the most about the 2015 Sienna is that Toyota designed it while thinking about the needs of people with disabilities. The best thing about the Sienna is that it is fully customizable which means it can be made fully accessible for anyone who requires the use of a wheel chair or a mobility scooter. Another great feature is the option to have a Bruno Lift-Up™ Power Mobility Seat installed which goes a long way in making it much easier for anyone mobility issues. In my opinion when it comes to great vehicles for those with disabilities I truly believe that the 2015 Toyota Sienna should be at the top of every ones list.
